What is up with my Weight

I know you have all heard me grip about this before, but I just want to keep those curious minds updated and also throw out my theories to you.

So on average my weight it the SAME as it was before I was pregnant!!!! There are some good days (fewer then others) where I step on the scale and I've gained that my beloved pound. But the next 3-4 days I am back down to my starting weight! I am now 20 weeks pregnant and am suppose to have gained 10 lbs by now!!

So here are my theories:
1) I have a parasite (other then my baby) in my system that is cleaning me out.
2) Because he is a Boy the hormones and I mix really well in a fool proof weight lost program (maybe that is why men don't gain weight like girls). OR
3) I unknowingly am not eating enough... which we should just throw that one out, because I eat all of the time (ice cream, pizza, candies, chocolate, etc).

I am really hoping for # 2! I'll talk to my doctor more about it at my next visit.
Maybe I will just look smoking hot after the baby is born!!! Now that would be amazing and his Christmas gift to me.

Happy Birthday to Avy

2 years ago Now

Monday the 28th of July is a very special day to me! It is Avonlea's Birthday! She is now 2 years old!!
This is how her day went.

First she slept in.

Then got all dressed up in her princess dress (that of course matched Brooklyn's)

Then went to the Park to play with friends. We asked for no gifts this year because it is hard on a two year old to open gifts around with other little kids who might want to take them away (learned that lesson with Brooklyn).

Took a nice 3 hour nap and then had an Adult party!! Uncle Craig and Grandparents! Of course she had her favorite dinner, TACOS. And opened presents!

And cake and Ice Cream! This year she was even able to blow out her candle with a couple of tries.

Toe Nails & Finger Nails

One of our favorite activities to do together is to paint our nails. Mostly our toes nails. But I am amazed the responses we get from other people including strangers when they see them. We try to match so that one no one (Avy) doesn't get jealous. They stay so still and are so good that I went one step higher and added decals.

Brooklyn likes to take Pictures of Avy and Avy loves to pose! These last 3 are all pictures that Brooklyn took.

How do you know you are a good mother?

So my girls have been playing together a lot lately. Which is such a blessing and so sweet to watch. One of my favorite things to watch them do is play "pretend" or what I use to call when I was young "house". We use to play house all the time. Having moms, dads, babies, etc. Well Brooklyn is always plays the roll of the mom or the dog owner. Avonlea in return is the daughter or the dog. However, it amazes me to watch them play the mother daughter role. Brooklyn goes around calling Avy "dear" and Avy calls her mom. Brooklyn helps her do things, calms her down when there is a "wolf", and gives her everything while instructing at the same time.

Now I know I am not perfect or the best mother, but I sure think I must be doing something right if my daughter mirrors what I do and those are the qualities she sees me doing.

They are truly a Blessing in my life and I am so grateful every day for being a mother to them.

IT'S A BABY

Here is our little Baby's Face!

Here is our little Baby's Profile ( I love the nose)!

Here is a 2nd Profile that shows the hand and legs some!

Here is our BABY BOY and all is Glory!

The arrow is pointing to his Boy part.

So I first saw his adorable little face and nose and she did one scan over and sure enough there "he" was. He was not shy at all!
He is positioned like he is laying in a hammock (and is low, just like I thought).
Avy doesn't know what to think, but Brooklyn was a bit upset at first. "I wanted a girl" she said. But her mind changed shortly after her visit to Chuckie Cheese today. "Mom, I want a boy now."
But he is healthy and measured just right despite my lack of weight gain.

Kids Say the Darnest Things

Sometimes I forget that my kids just barely started to learn the English language. And with any language there is lots of confusion. I started writing down some of the funniest/darnest things my girls have been saying and will update with new ones often.

In the bath tub Avonlea was asking Brooklyn for something and Brooklyn likes to make her say things before she gets (mostly just to prolong her time with the item). This is how it went:

Brooklyn: "Say Please"
Avy: "Please"
Brooklyn: "Say Sesame"
Avy: "Sesame"
Brooklyn: "Louder Please!"
Avy: "Louder Please."

Brooklyn and Avonlea like to race with any thing especially at dinner time. On one evening this is what was said:

Brooklyn: "I'm going to beat you up Avy!"

Of course she meant to say "I'm going to beat you!" Instead eating became a threat.

My girls like to dance together and princess movies. With those two combined this was the result:

Brooklyn to Avy: "May I have this dance my pleasure?"

Brooklyn: "Mom, can I listen to the Prophet?"
Me: "Yes, of course."
Brooklyn: "Thanks mom."
I wonder what she would have said if I said no.

Running around

Avonlea is getting so BIG and with her Birthday just a week away I wanted to document her cuteness before the terrible twos come our way.
She knows 4 letters on sight.
A, B, C, and R

Dr. Visit #2

I went to my 2nd doctor's appointment last Thursday. My blood pressure is great, my pee is clean, and the baby heart rate was up to 150 beats per minute. I even measured at 18 cm (which is perfect since I am 18 weeks along). My doctor said, "This baby must of read the book!" Which in doctor terms means that every thing is going along perfectly.

For those who are familiar with pregnancy's know that is it almost time for the "special" visit!! Yes on This Wednesday the 23rd we will met our new member of our little family. I always feel so closer to the baby once I see their little arms, legs, nose and of course find of the gender.

Cameron gave me a funny compliment while we were there. He said, "Good job being pregnant. Not just with this one, but with all." He then explained how blessed we are that there has never been major problems (normal pregnant pains only). That I've never lost a baby or have had real troubles getting pregnant. This one took us the longest to get pregnant and it was less then 3 months. And I was worried at that (silly huh). I know there are many wonderful women out there who not as lucky. I feel truly blessed with this gift Heavenly Father has given me.

Sea World San Antonio

Our final event from our trip to Texas was Sea World! While we were in Orlando last year we had gotten a season pass and the girls loved it. So much that Brooklyn use to tell everyone that she wants to ride on Shamu's back when she gets older.

Cameron and I have been planning this trip for a little while and were not telling the girls. We are selves were getting so excited and couldn't wake for the look on Brooklyn's face after we told her. But we were more excited then she was. She gave a look, like "huh, really?" We thought she would clap, scream, have a BIG smile, something. But the smile on her face while we were there and the things she said made it completely worth it, even in the heat.

She didn't want to leave the Shamu show even after it was over, but said, "This is my favorite part."

Brooklyn loves the rides and is really good about going on them. Brooklyn went on a water log ride and the look on her face was soooo funny. She wasn't scared, but she had an unsure look on her face as she went down. I missed the picture because I never knew when it would be them after 30 minutes standing in line. Avonlea even had a good time on the rides and I was able to
go on one of them with her.

Click on to enlarge and are on the very last seat
Lastly, the heat and I didn't do so well. We will standing in line to go into a little water play area for the girls. When all of sudden I was talking to my self (in my head). This is how my conversation went: "Umm, my tummy is feeling funny, maybe we should eat sooner. Oh, my eyes are sure blinking a lot and are getting bury. Oh NO, I know what this is. Hurry! Hold on to Cameron!" Sure enough I was about to pass out and had to sit down to calm myself down. Luckily I knew what was happening and how to "control" it a bit.

The girls and of course Cameron and I loved Sea World!!! There is something about rides and sea animals that just make us happy. If any ever gets the chance to go (orlando, san antonio or san diego), GO GO GO!

Remember the Alamo

On our last Sunday there in Texas we went to San Antonio (about a 3 hour drive). We went there for 3 main reasons: see his Aunt and stay with her over night, see the Alamo, and Sea World.

It was really funny! We were imagining something completely different. We thought it would be out in the boonies and huge! Nope, it was in the smack middle of down town surrounded by hotels, stores, etc. and it was so little. I think we thought it was going to be castle size. Whenever we saw pictures of it there was never anyone in front of it, that is because it would give away the real size.

Never the less, it was amazing to be there and to have touched history.

Cameron Birthday/ The Beach

It was Cameron's Birthday on the 6th (which was a Sunday, his only day off). So we went to the Beach and out for sushi!

I met a lady on the plane from Texas that said, "If you want to go to a nice beach, go to Florida." So with that in mind we weren't expecting a beautiful view. All the mud mixes from the Mississippi River (so it isn't very blue), there is lots of sea weed, and trash from Mexico.

Well we went to a Private one (which means, has shower, bathrooms and charges for parking). Despite all of the negatives all little Girls didn't care a BIT. They loved it so much! That was the best Birthday present for Cameron to see his little girls so happy.

Brooklyn this year was very braved and walked out with Cameron and let the waves go over her (while holding his hand). Last year she made Daddy hold her the whole time in the water. She just couldn't get enough of it. Avy also went out with Daddy (I am too much of a wimp to go out far). I hung out mostly on the shoreline and in the sand. Looking like a beached whale (my swimming suit is black).

After the beach, we went to a fun sushi/hibachi grill. Avy didn't like the "fire" but loved the food! She almost ate all my chicken. And Cameron was in Sushi Heaven.

Lastly on this busy day we went back to his apartment and had cake and ice cream with friends. A girl and my self made the cake. He asked for it and this is what he got.

PS We did go to church on Sunday and I bore my testimony, amazing of all amazing I know. Avy of course was there to help me. But it set the mood/topic for the rest of the meeting, which was really neat.

4th of July

For us the 4th of July was kind of a low point of our trip. Cameron had to work all day and came home around 8:30pm (which is consider early). But the girls and I went swimming and they had a fun time dressing up and looking cute. Cameron did get some fireworks and let them off. The girls were so tired that they didn't seem to care much, but the little boy in Cameron loved playing with things that blow up.

We're Back... and the results.

Hello! We are back! Those 2 weeks went by so fast! I am have so much to tell but will go through a couple of postings to say it all!

However, I do want to update everyone on how the Baby is doing. Drum roll please... I gained a POUND!! Haleigh lu ah! I am 18 weeks today and while I was gone I gained 4 pounds (yet only 1 pound counts towards the pregnancy because of my lost of 3). And I am now 39 1/2 inches around. I see the doctor tomorrow and will get more stats.

Also, he or she is ALIVE!! Yes yes, I felt a for sure flutter on July 5th and almost peed my pants with excitement. I thought I felt something sooner, but I never could be sure. Now he or she is squirming around like crazy.
Which reminds me, this is the month we will find out what he or she is!
