Yummy Banana Cake

Carpet in the bathroom

And toe Kitty Socks!

Have you ever had one of those days that make you feel the universe is so unforgiving to you? For those of you who think I've got everything under control this will illustrate the complete opposite!
Well I woke up with yet again my Quasimodo (the hunchback from Notre Dame) eye. The day before I had and horrible infection spread from an angry pimple that was conveniently resting right under my inner corner of my eyebrow. My eye was puffy both above and below my eye, making it very hard to see! Usually in the early morning (6 am) when Lincoln wakes up I bring him back to my bed. This morning he peed in my bed (that is one outfit to change, get this in mind because we are counting).
Cameron left early to help out his mom and came back late and ungrateful for the lunch I had prepared and his clothes I gave him. So he spent like 10 minutes with the kids which is sad for them and makes it hard for me.
In the meanwhile, Lincoln has a blow out diaper and we change his clothes. Then not 30 minutes later he throws up all over his current outfit. By now, the third outfit, we say, "To the heck with clothes!" and let him play in his diaper (which I hate to do because it looks so trashy).
Avy then comes to me and tells me, "The toliet is going around and around" as she shows me with her twirling finger. I go in with plunger in hand, trying to avoid the floaties (no more details then that). I carefully try not to splash and get what I thought was good (I am no plumber) and flush again only to cause an overflowing mess on the carpeted bathroom (I KNOW who puts carpet in bathrooms, they are just asking for trouble). With a couple more thrust and my kids saying, "Can I see? Can I see?" I fix the toilet and have to clean up.
Along with all my craziness I think "oh I should make a cake! That would be fun *wink wink*!" Granted this all happened before NOON!!!! I had gotten a phone call from a sweet friend and she asked if it was a good time? I laughed thinking, nothing else could go wrong.
Well, there is an up to every down. Luckily today was laundry day, so the pee in bed and 3 outfits Lincoln exploded through could be easily cleaned. Cameron called to say that he was sorry and informed me that there is a water knob on the back of the toilet that stops the water!! Something I wish I would have known sooner (which inspires me to write a book about all the things you need to know that they don't teach you in High School to live in the real world!). And my Banana Cream Cheese cake was a pleasant dessert to a long morning! We did go feed the ducks, visited our neighbor who gave Brooklyn and Avy fun toe socks and went to bed early.
