You've Got some Explaning to do!

I love, I love Lucy. That show was and still is so funny. One of my favorite lines from that show was when Ricky would say in his accent, "Lucy you've got some explaining to do!" Well, that sums it up pretty well for me too. I am so behind in my blogging and for a just cause. I couldn't get my photos up because we had too many photos and had to do some computer cleaning. And lets face it, my kids pictures are a lot my fun and entertaining them just me jabbering on about them. So here are the topics of some future blogs (just scroll down) while I try to slowing but surely catch up!

We love our local Library here! Recently they had a big celebration for having been here for 20 years! The theme was cowboy/western stuff. The coolest part, besides dressing up, was the petting zoo. When I think of petting zoo's I think of maybe one or two animals max! This one was huge! They had a llama (which we loved because of the Llama Llama series), giant goats, little billy goats, sheep, donkey, pony, chickens, ducks, bunny, and pig! The girls loved it and Lincoln was pulling any hair he could get his hands on! Inside they had stories, crafts, free cake, a roping demonstration, and costume contest! There was much more all through out the day but we were only there for a little while.

Avy's 1st day of Preschool

September 10th was Avonlea's First day of Preschool at Woodmen Roberts Elem...

She isn't crying, the sun was just in her eyes.

She did great!! No crying! I was more emotional then she was.Her teacher held her hand as she walked through the door and I came to pick her up and she told me mostly about her day. She is going to this preschool to fit her needs of her social skills or lack there of and her speech. To celebrate we went to one of her all time favorite places that she asks to go each time we go to the Library... McDonald's Park! <--- That is what they call it, sounds healthier this way. :-) She found the letter S french fry! Who would have thought: educational and greasy!

Well Labor started out GREAT! We work up super early to get ready to go see the Balloons, but only had one kid to get ready! The girls and spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Mann's and were going to meet us there!
For those of you who have never experience Colorado Springs Labor Day Balloons are truly missing out on a fun experience! We are right up close and personal with these Balloon operators! They go whooshing over our heads. Lots of them we see them set up from layout to lift off. Poor Lincoln's eyes were soo wide (more then normal) with excitement. In our kids younger years they were somewhat afraid (loud noises, big things) but this year everyone was HAPPY!!
From the Balloons we (Cameron and I) head back home to eat breakfast and get cleaned up, while grandparents take the girls out to eat. This is a rare treat for them, because we close to never go out to eat.
Then we met back at my parent's place for some Chicken BBQ and all the sides!
There is this really fun splash park close to my parents house that is for FREE that we took them too, because it was the last day they were open.

Then we headed over to the Canyon for another BBQ with Cameron's sister's family. But they had no grills there (oddly enough) and we headed for the nearest park, Bear Creek Park! Which was great because they had playgrounds to get the kids busy. We had hamburgers and s'mores!

On our drive home we finished off with FHE singing and a quick lesson (before they could fall asleep from a busy day).

Calling All Stickers...

Hello Family and Friends,
I love getting free stuff (who doesn't?)! Right now I am trying to collect the little stamps for Albertsons to redeemed "free" pots and pans! I am in desperate need of new pans and thought this could be a clever way of getting them. So, if any of you that shop there and don't collect the sticker tickets from now until 1st week of January, if you could set them aside for me, that would be WONDERFUL!! I would even consider it a nice Christmas gift!

Lincoln loves to laugh and be part of the action! Just yesterday he went out with the guys (my dad and Cameron) and the girls (Avonlea and Brooklyn) to Chuckie Cheese!! He did great without me (which shouldn't be a surprise) and my dad held him the whole time. Anywho, when they got back everyone was playing around and chatting in the front room. Brooklyn started to do her jumping jacks and Lincoln joined in. Ok, only kind of. But as she would raise her arms he would raise his. My mom pointed out to Brooklyn that this is why we make good choices because you never know when your little Brother is watching you and will copy you.

His doctor was so Happy because he is finally back on the line on the growth chart that he started on at birth! Which means no more weight checks until he is ONE!! Talk about a relief to my mind and a time saver!

Also, on his 9 month day he had a little toothie pop up! Then another peaked out just yesterday!!

WE are so HAPPY for our BIG BOY and his BIG accomplishments! Love YOU Linky Dinky!

Red Rocks ROCKS!

So we did it! With help from lots of people, WE DID IT! You may ask what have we done? We went on a date all ALONE! It sounds like a simple task but you are sadly mistaken. Between Cameron's classes, me nursing all 3 of my kids back to back, and the crazy thing called life, we rarely are alone. And you know what? It was so much fun! I forgot how fun it is to be a couple! It was so much fun that we are doing it again this weekend!

So what did we do? Or what was worth such planning? Cameron's all time favorite band, Depeche Mode was playing at Red Rocks. For those you are not from Colorado, Red Rocks is an amazing place to begin with. It is an outside amphitheater surrounded by giant beautiful red rocks that create amazing sound under the stars! I won't go into great detail about all the not so good things that happened, or how I embarrassed Cameron oh so slightly. Because it was a great concert with fun songs (I was not a fan or even aware of this band until I met Cameron and he loaned me out his CD's while we were first dating).
