A New Diet

I have discovered a new diet for my self! It was completely on accident, but works none the less.
I like to call it, "Husband is Gone, have to do everything diet." I woke up this morning, ate breakfast and then weighed my self only to find I lost a pound and half!!! Never in history has this been heard of for me while I am pregnant! I am almost 3 months along and usually have gained 5 pounds by now. Not only have I not gained anything but I've lost some (mind you I haven't even thrown up). So I do not recommend this diet for the tired. It does have side effects: lack of sleep, lack of eating (only when I "have" to), and most of all leaves you alone in your bed at night.

****Update****
Lost now a total of 2.5 pounds (a week and a half since he left). I'll start getting worried after I lose 10 pounds.

T-Ball

Brooklyn had her first T-Ball practice yesterday!!! She did really well and learned lots. She loves to run so going to base to base was great for her. She is so cute when she catches or throws. I gave her a little talk before hand telling her I don't care if she throws good or hits the ball, I just wanted her to have fun. And I think she did. Granted she was a little distracted by the playground within walking distance. And would yell out, "I am doing good, can I go to the park?" What can you do?

I forgot my camera but promise some pictures in the near future.

A New found Love

Just until Wednesday Avonlea was deadly afraid of the swing. We would talk her into it for a couple of seconds, then she would yell out, "done, done, done!" However, we went to the park on both Wednesday and Thursday and I couldn't get her to get out. She would eat her snack in there. I would stop pushing her and she would just hang out (literally). She even had friends of hers who wanted to push her. I am glad she has found a love in swinging! (Yes, my girls match, it is easier to see them at park if there are dressed the same and harder to forget what they are wearing).

Bye Bye Cameron

So yesterday the girls and I drove to Denver at 4:30am to take Cameron to the Airport. He is now in Houston Texas and is getting ready to work there for 3 months! It came up on us all of a sudden and seemed to be the best option at the time. That is only time can tell if we can really benefit from it.
Brooklyn (bless her heart) as we were driving away from the terminal asked me, "Will Daddy come to my Birthday?" Her birthday is June 5th and I said, "No sweetie he will have to work, but he will send you a card." Her reply, "Yes, and it will say, Happy Birthday I miss you." That was a tender moment.
There is an upside! The girls and I plan on taking a vacation mid July to visit for 2 weeks. Brooklyn is already telling everyone that she will get to see her friend, "little David" who she absolutely loves.
Cameron is home sick already (after one crazy day there). So perhaps "absence will make the heart grow fonder."
I know I can handle being alone with the girls (the are easy). I already do so much for them by my self. But what I told Cameron, "what little you do do, I like." So he will be greatly missed.

Seeing Spots

Avy is so beautiful! We are going to be in trouble when she starts to date!

You wouldn't believe me if I told you that they love to match and ask to match the other on a daily bases.

Avy is getting so tall and Brooklyn, well what can I say, she has my genes. There is a 2 year age difference and Avy only needs a couple more inches and pounds to be the same!

Ring around the rosies! All fall down!

Blessing in Strange Ways

God blesses us in strange ways. So addition to feeling my morning sickness I got a nice head cold, with a little coughing, but mostly a running nose. I first thought it was allergies but was mistaken. However, it made it so that I could smell close to nothing! When I was pregnant with Brooklyn any little smell good but mostly bad ones, would make me throw up. Granted my nose was running, but I will take that over any day from throwing up! Oh yeah, check out my belly!! Only 9 weeks in photo! And I have gained no weight! Another blessing.

It all started 5 years ago

This was Cameron and I 5 years ago to the day! We were so happy on this day! It was the first day of our lives together and we have been so blessed every day since. To be young and in love I thought was the best thing to ever happen to me. Now I can't wait the day we are old and have our grand kids running around.
We met the summer of 2002 and I knew I loved him at first sight. The first time he saw me, he thought, "She has a nice smile." But then I stood up and he realized how short I was! He was dating some else at the time, but not for long. Most the summer went by and I admired him from a distance. Until he called me up one day and asked me out! The whole month of August we spent every day together it seems. He even drove me up to college (Rexburg). We told each other we will still be "together" but can date others. I went on a couple of dates (FHE Brothers), but none compared to my Cameron. He surprised me in October and visited me again! I went home for thanksgiving and came home empty handed. But went home for Christmas and found 10 stuff animal cows on my bed. My dad comes in and says, "If you say no, can I still keep the cows?"(making me a 10 cow wife). At this point I was confused and excited! That evening he asked me to marry him and on May 14th, 2003 is the Salt Lake City Temple, that is just what we did. The rest is history.

Whiz Kidz

Brooklyn is in a dance group called Whiz Kidz and today was here BIG Preformance!!! She did a really good job (the best in her class, I dare say)! She said her line perfectly, "My name is Brooklyn and I Love America." and everyone laughed after hers. She danced with a flag and in the grand finale. She sang so well that it even the video tape was able to pick her out of the 40 kids. She looked so cute and the best part was afterwards I gave her a big hug and told her how proud I was of her. She said, "Thanks Mom, I love you." while her cheek was snuggled up to mine! These are the moments that make all the nose wiping, throw up cleaning, and fix throwing worth it all.

Soccer!!

Indoor soccer at it's finest!
I would hate to see them playing against each other.

Mother's Day Gifts

This year I decided to be creative for Mother's Day! Growing up it was always the gifts we made for my mom that she liked the best and kept on her walls for years. With that in mind I made an apron (my mom's first full apron in 29 years) with the grand kids hand prints on them. She left town early so she got to open hers early and I think it was a hit! I know that is all I ever want from my kids, a little piece of them.
