Happy Thanksgiving!

Avy Dressed like an Indian

For Thanksgiving this year we went 2 hours North to spend it at Cameron's sister's home and other of his family members! There were a couple of times that I was fearful of going to into labor (like when I walked around the outlet malls at Loveland) or when I over ate and my stomach was completely hard. But mostly I was just thankful and are some of the things I am thankful for...
1. My Family
2. My Savior and his sacrifice for me
3. Being an American even during it's hardships
4. The love from others
5. Good Friends
6. For almost being done being pregnant and having a new baby!

The Love of a Sister

I love to watch my girls together. I learn so much from them. Mostly I learn and observe unconditional love. Below are two stories that demonstrate my point.

Avonlea is Brooklyn's biggest fan and would follow her to the ends of the Earth. She loves to copy everything she does and say. Just the other day they both come up stairs from playing and start telling me a story how Brooklyn killed a spider with a toy. As Brooklyn stumbles out a sentence Avy is right beside her repeating what Brooklyn has just said. At first I thought Avy was helping tell the story as she had seen it happen. But after watching them both, Avy would change her hand position to match Brooklyn's. Brooklyn would play with her hair and Avy would play with her hair. Brooklyn would make a motion with her hands and Avy would copy. I started laughing so hard I almost missed the story.

I was taking a nap and Cameron was sitting on the couch as the girls were down stairs playing. All of sudden I hear Avy in a Frantic cry and I pop up off the couch and motion to Cameron to run down. He still isn't moving until Brooklyn screams out "She has bleeds!". Both of us run down the stairs to see what had happened, having both kids in tears now. I take over with Avy as Cameron tries to get the story from Brooklyn. I am thinking the worse that Brooklyn did something mean and made her nose bleed. After much calming down the what we thought was the guilty cry from Brooklyn we got the story. A toy had fallen down on Avy that was on a higher shelf and Brooklyn said when asked why are you crying she said, "I was scared for my sister."

Wouldn't it be nice to have someone look up to us and want to be with us always?
Wouldn't it be nice to have someone who would mourn with us when we mourn?

I grew up as a only girl in the family with 3 brothers. I love my brothers dearly but am very envious of my girls.

However, I do believe that we all have someone like this in our lives. It is our Big Brother Jesus Christ! It is nice some times to see Christ's love in action through my girls.

And the Doctor Says...

... I am at ONE Centimeter, 80% thinned, and the head is DOWN!!

Then I was a little concern because his movement has lessen a bit and so they did a stress test on me. Baby is doing well (thank goodness) and I had 8 contractions in like 30 minutes or so (I lost track of time and wasn't near a clock). To me they didn't hurt at all, just uncomfortable. But they were getting pretty strong (chart had them reading between 75-110). With any luck he will be here soon. I think he is just waiting for me to say the words, "I'm Ready!". I have a couple of things I want to do here and there and then I'll be all ready. Of course like hide and go seek, "Ready or Not" he may come!!

PS I am 36 weeks along, so they won't stop me

Air Force Game

I consider myself a true Mormon through and through, but not when it comes to the BLUE. Both Cameron and I are AIR FORCE Fans! I know I know, I am breaking all the rules of the Mormon handbook, but I am a local! "Root for the HOME Team!"

Yesterday Cameron and I went to the Game! It was the first Air Force Football game we been to together. The last time I was in that stadium it was for a graduation two and a half years ago and I was also 8 months pregnant then! I always feel bad trying to get through the bleachers and knocking everyone from both angles.

Sadly they didn't win, but it was exciting none the less! I had funnel cake and nachos! Cameron got a cool $5 Air Force Tee and their Falcon preformed. Along with that we had jumpers and a fly over to start off the game.

We were all mingled in with the BYU Fans and had their cheerleaders right in front of us and that was quite entertaining!

Of course my favorite part is after the score a touch down and they have to do push ups! CHECK OUT CLIP!

Tissue stuffing

So Brooklyn is fighting a cold right now. Mostly a running nose and coughs. I've been giving her tissues all day long and hadn't thought anything about it when she asks me for some more this time. Our conversation went like this...

"Mom, I need some more tissue."
"Ok, here it is." And I see a lump under her shirt near her heart.
"I need to use the tissue to put in my shirt to make boobies."
I pause and then yell, "Cameron! Guess what Brooklyn just did."

And this is where it all begins! She is only four and is already starting to stuff with tissue. I am not looking forward to the teen years. Ahhhhh!

35 weeks Big

35 Weeks along and only 2 to 5 more to go!! This is the best time for comments from others. Complete strangers are drawn to me. I am sure they are thinking, "Who let that girl out of the house! She looks like she is going to explode!".

Comments I did get today:
"Wow you are really low. You probably will go soon."
"When are you due?" stranger says
I say, "In a month."
Stranger responds, "Ohhh..."

I told Cameron today that I am slowing starting to remember what it was like! I will never forget my girls birth stories, but some how I seem to have selective memory when it comes to the actual pain that comes along with it. Therefore I've changed my mind. I am not having a baby, it hurts too much. I wish I would have thought of that before...opps. Maybe next time I will remember. :-)

I start seeing the doctor once a week after my appointment next Wednesday!! I will give more details then on our status. I have had contractions which is exciting for me (means I could be dilated, Somthing I didn't do on my own with Brooklyn!)

Happy Halloween

Our Halloween started a day early this year. We went to our ward's trunk- or- treat/potluck/carnival activity on Thursday evening. The girls had a great time there! Cameron had a blast showing them off and pretending with them. Then on Halloween they painted and carved pumpkins and trick or treated in our neighborhood and stayed in Character all night long.

Let me give a little background on their costumes... This year was our last chance to pull off the roles as "Goldie Locks and the 3 Bears". My brother did it one year with his kids and I thought it was the cutest thing ever (I have to give him credit). My girls love to read books or to be read to and so it seemed like an appropriate theme for us. From the get go I had two people who were not on board with the theme. Brooklyn wanted to be little Mermaid for Halloween this year and I couldn't talk her out of it. Until I got both costumes and told her she can where her Mermaid one whenever she wanted to, but Goldie Locks was for Halloween. She was happy and so was I. Then there was Cameron. He wanted to be something cool and home made. Not some stinking Papa Bear or store bought outfit. Well the 30th came and he had done nothing for his "cool" costume. So that day I bought a $1 ski cap, and 20 cent felt and some headbands (for myself), hot glued them together and walla instant Mama and Papa Bear. We wore just our regular clothes with extra brown in them. I didn't tell him I made him something until about 30 minutes before the party and surprisingly he put them on! I am still unsure if he liked it or wore it not to upset the pregnant lady. I would like to think he did it for the girls because they loved having a Papa Bear (especially our little baby bear). But like I said above they stayed in Character all night while they were trick or treating saying things like, "Come on baby bear." "Okay Papa Bear." "Should we get that Goldielocks?" etc. The girls loved pretending and am sure they will not soon forget how Papa Bear played with them.

*pictures soon to come*

All Moved in, still unpacking

Hello! Sorry for my absence in "Blog World" we just moved last weekend and have finally started to settle in a bit. Even through all the boxes and chaos of unpacking I am loving our new place. I have so much more space! The girls bedroom is actually staying clean (their downstairs play area is a whole other story) which just tickles my heart to no other. I love my kitchen space and cabinets. We have a toilet on each floor with is very handy for me (I have to go at least every hour, some times more) and for when Avy wants to go it is nice to have.

Mostly I am so grateful for all the people that helped us move, clean and watch kids!!! Our ward is Amazing and we are very happy that we didn't move out of it! We gave them a 2 day notice and we had so many people to help! Both the Elders quorum and RS where there helping! Which is such a blessing for me in my state (8 months pregnant). I won't list who these wonderful helpers were but they know and I hope they will find themselves blessed for their service.

Well my boxes are calling...but I will get Halloween pictures and stories out soon!
