Monday night was a very windy night and I was lying in bed some what awake from the noise from outside, but had not opened my eyes yet. I go to roll over (a very hard thing to do at the time) and had to keep on rolling because I started to leak, soaking my clothes completely. It is 12:30 am and I wake up Cameron to let him know my water just broke. We talked about our options because I wasn't in hard labor yet. My dad comes to watch the girls for us and we were at the hospital by 6:00 am.
When we get there I am only at a 2 and sure enough it was my water that broke. So we were staying. We got our room and walk around for a little bit, me still not in any pain. My mom comes and the doctors shows up around 8:30am and we discuss our options. I really didn't want to go on PIT. I knew my body could do it, however was being very lazy and was still wasn't making any hard contractions and time wasn't on our side. I tried to tell the doctor to let me wait until noon to get me hooked up, but since nothing had happen since 8 hours after my water broke it was clear I was going to need some help. So at 9:00am I was put on PIT.
I tried to rest as much as possible, but by 10:30 I wanted my epidural and was now to a 4. He had a little troubles putting it in and poked me 3 times and kept on saying "Everything is fine." I wanted to tell him "fine" "not fine for me!". But I knew once it was in I would be happy. My legs went almost completely numb and I felt very warm. The nurse checked me again because she was having a hard time getting the baby's heart rate because he was moving so much. His head was much lower and I was at a 6! She stayed close by and I sent my mom to go get some food before too much action was going to happen. We were all taking our bids on the time we thought he would be here. We were thinking anywhere from 1:30-4:00 (my dad said 12:30 and I thought ha, yeah right).
Then I got the chills (which is the same way I felt with Avy when I was ready to push) and not even 20 minutes later I was at a 10 and ready to push!! We hurried and called my mom back up and got the doctor in! I could feel his head right there and didn't want to move too much because I feared him falling out. After they got everything set up I pushed one time (not even during a contraction) and his head was out!! My doctor did the rest! Pulled him out and unwrapped his cord from his neck and showed us the loose knot he had in his cord! I truly believe he knew that he needed to come for his own safety. He was born at 12:50 pm, making his labor the fastest so far and he is the lightest one out of my kids!
We have a Beautiful Baby Boy! He is so good and is eating well! But he doesn't feel the need to eat all of the time and is content just looking around! We love him so much and are glad he is here!
