I should have posted this a week ago...I've learn that when you have a baby in a cast you get asked a lot of questions, which is fine if you have "real" answers.
Here is Lincoln's Leg story.
Last Saturday the 15th after dinner Lincoln was crawling over his sister, Brooklyn. Then all of sudden we heard this toe curling cry, and grab for Lincoln. At first we didn't see anything wrong with him, we checked no bleeding. No bruises. No nothing, just a fussy boy who went straight to sleep. He wakes up that evening still just tears rolling down his pump cheeks and refuses to walk. Still not seeing anything "wrong" we just love him and cuddle him until he sleeps again.
The next morning, after a very rough night (multiple wake ups) he still refuses to walk. So I take him to the ER and after 5 hours, 7 X rays, and 4 different blood test come up negative. They sent us home with a splint and told me to keep him off of it until he sees his Doctor.
On Tuesday we take him in to see his Doctor, who then refers us to the only pediatric orthopedic Doctor in town, who squeezes us in on Thursday morning. After a really good examine she says, "we should listen to him". He still refused to walk on it and was telling us something, even if it something we can't see and won't see until it has started to heel. They call it a toddler fracture. Something is hurt and we just have to trust this little 17 month old boy that is shouldn't walk on it. So he is in a cast for 3 weeks!!
Poor Lincoln who loves to be active and playful is now in a bossy toddler role as he seats and demands me to do things for him. Poor Lincoln's short lived freedom is taken away for a brief moment, but just long enough to make life harder for us all. We will love and help in all we can and will have a count down for when his 3 weeks of prison is over.
Poor Lincoln...

It's a good thing his bossiness is cute! I wonder if he'll think he can be so demanding once he's on his feet again?
